Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card Episode 1 (Sakura and the Clear Cards) Review
After 18 years, FINALLY! Rejoice all Sakura Kinomoto die hard fans for the next season of CARDCAPTOR SAKURA had already hit the Japanese television and anime streaming websites last January 7, 2018 (Sunday). It really is a major throwback for all those '90s kids out there who watched CCS from season 1 (1998) to season 2 (1999) and definitely 'til season 3 (1999-2000).
Who would forget the hand-drawn 70 episodes anime show we used to watch during our childhood? Cardcaptor Sakura is definitely the "anime heroine" of the '90s, especially to all the little girls back then (that includes me, of course!)
Okay! So, what's more interesting with this latest episode release? It is that you can still feel the old Sakura vibe in the animation aside from the story line itself. Although we can see that Sakura does not go to school on her full skate attire anymore. Probably because she's 14 now in this series? Who knows?
It is noticeable that the animators did not deeply plunged into the anime trends today that focuses on "realism" given that anime today are drawn digitally. But instead, they obviously tried to retain the hand-drawn aura from the previous release during the '90s. This just what makes watching the CCS: Clear Card so nostalgic.
Now for those of you who still have not watched the first episode yet, we won't be popping the balloon for you but get ready for loads and loads of cuteness from Keno-chan, Tomoyo-chan and the rest of the gang as Sakura tries to solve the mystery behind her new key and the clear cards along with them.
And also, make sure to have that "Shaokura" banners up and waving for more romantic encounters from these two love birds - Lee Shaoran and Kinomoto Sakura! ♥
Oh you better go buy yourselves some cake and tea before you stream on your favorite anime websites as well. We don't want to have that tummy roaring while on the midst of a good seen for this anime sure is one hell of a looooooong wait! :)
Always keep in mind our beloved Sakura's invincible spell -
"Zettai daijōbu da yo (Everything will surely be all right)."
